Our Story
IndigoMinds was founded to provide high-quality, trustworthy neurodevelopmental assessments and support. The company is led by clinical founder Dr Matty Chalk, who brings decades of experience in neurodevelopmental services, and co-founder Mike, whose perspective is shaped by supporting his son through his autism journey, from assessment and diagnosis to education support and ongoing pathways.
At IndigoMinds, we focus on doing things properly. Our assessments meet — and are designed to exceed — NICE guidelines, with an emphasis on clinical integrity, consistency, and sound professional judgement. In a landscape where many providers prioritise volume and speed, our approach focuses on quality, delivering clear outcomes through a structured, easy-to-navigate, person-centred pathway from start to finish.
Through lived experiences, we also recognise the benefits of holistic support therapies following diagnosis. Where appropriate we signpost to these therapies, as well as offer our own art and colour therapy alongside more traditional talking therapy, particularly for children who often express themselves more easily through creative or non-verbal ways.

In-person or hybrid pathways
We understand that everyone has different needs and comfort levels. For convenience, we start with an online consultation, followed by a choice of either a same day, in-person assessment or hybrid assessment pathway which includes at least one in person appointment.
